Housing for electric connection and meter
has been built as electric mains supply is
imminent at last.

10th February update

We should have learnt by now that
everything happens at a snails pace
in Cyprus! Bloody frustrating ! We
have been given a date of 3rd of
March for the electrical inspection and
connection if all is ok.

The slide installed, only 1 year late!! We
bought and installed it ourselves,
couldn't wait any longer. We will
probably go ahead and finish the
outstanding jobs ourselves now as well.

The cover is on the pool. It is a 'solar'
cover and heats the pool nicely. Current
temperature is 86 degrees.
Countryside is turning brown already, hot
sun everyday now.

We have snakes in the garden. These two
appeared by the pool in a dancing ritual.

They are black coin snakes.

They are harmless to humans but keep
the rodent population down and they also
deter the dangerous viper snake also
found in Cyprus.

So we won't be taking any measures to
remove them. We guess they have a nest
somewhere in the garden but we are
unlikely to find it.
