			7 September 2010 Patio has been repaired. Supplies for wall at rear of pool.
			7 September 2010 Garden levels being done. Extra soil from other part of plot. Electrical connection box on back of pump room will supply pump fpr slide and decorative garden lights.

			20 September 2010 I am making all the fencing panels for around the pool.
			24 September 2010 Rosie had a buggy ride during her visit.

			8 October 2010 Wall completed ready for rendering. The raised section in the middle is for a sculpture of a dolphin which will pour water into the pool from it's mouth. At least, that is the idea!!
			8 October 2010 Wall and fencing. Electrical conduit in foreground is for decorative lighting along the wall and the fence to light up plants in pots.

			16 October 2010 Work has moved to the front bank to try and finish the prevention of soil erosion before the rains come. Bank has been cleared and cut back to make room for large rocks.
			16 October 2010 1 of 3 loads of rocks delivered. They have had to be off loaded onto the road. These rocks plus the coir blanket should prevent further soil erosion from the bank in front of the house.
			22 October 2010 Strimming the last of the large weeds. Me strimming, Alan holding me in place.

			30 October 2010 Slowly and surely building the rocks up. Each rock is manhandled by ropes using the JCB to lift them.
			3 November 2010 Back filling behind the rocks and laying the coir blanket. This should prevent further erosion of the bank by the heavy rains during the winter. Rick and Sue doing the back filling, Alan and me laying the blanket. The blanket is held in place with long steel pins hammered into the soil.
			3 November 2010 Ground cover will be planted through the blanket which will bio degrade in about 3 years. We are Hoping to illuminate the rocks and the bank. Other soil erosion problems are being tackled at the rear of the house.
			22 November 2010 Gill on road tending 1 of the 90 oleander bushes planted along top boundary. We have laid an irrigation pipe to automatically water these for 10 mins twice a day.
			22 November 2010 The finished rocks and the drive lights. There are 14 of these lights down the drive.
			22 November 2010 Blondee on the bank. There are 500 ground cover bedding plants planted so far. Another 7 lengths of blanket with ground cover to go!!!

			22 November 2010 The base holding the satellite dish keeps sinking / moving causing dish to need re-alignment. So it is being underpinned. Rick in background admiring his work.
			27 November 2010 3 bouganvilliea planted against the fence. This should look nice next spring but will require a daily clean of petals from the pool.

			12 December 2010 First storm of the winter. The Oleanders have taken a battering.
			12 December 2010 Some pots smashed. These pots and plants were only bought last week !!
			12 December 2010 Strong winds ! Fence needs reinforcing. Winter is here at last and heating is required in the evening. Storms and rain forecast for the whole of next week.
			23 December 2010 Fence panels (DIY) along new wall at rear of pool. Decorative stones filled in to patio and flower pots in place. Good progress now being made to turn a building plot in to a home.
			23 December 2010 A drain installed along edge of patio. A similar drain will be installed both sides at the front of the house.

			23 December 2010 Trench at front of rocks has been filled with concrete and decorative stones pressed in to the top.

			18 January 2011 Rough cast dolphin delivered. This was made by an englsh lady in Inea, next village along from Arodes. The cement finish will now be covered in plaster/filler, rubbed down and painted.
			11 April 2011 New walls built at side of gates.
			11 April 2011 The house name plate which has been in storage for 3 years.
			11 April 2011 Cyprus firs and other bushes planted down the drive. Drive at left of house will be done the same. An olive tree has been planted at the top of each drive.
			11 April 2011 The ground cover on the bank has made good growth during the winter.
			11 April 2011 Nice new steps at front of house.
			11 April 2011 Left side of house has been covered with matting then stones laid on top. Irrigation pipes are under the stones. 16 fruit trees have been planted, 6 along this side. Fruits include orange, lemon, peach, plum, cherry, mandarin, apple and pear. A selection of other trees and bushes also. More ground cover plants have been planted on the bank. Also 160 metres of irrigation pipe is to be laid with auto timers.

			11 April 2011 The dolphin has been plastered and rubbed down ready for painting.

			5 May 2011 Dean and Jeanette our very good friends from Alderholt in Dorset spent a week with us in May. Cyprus has been reporting a shortage of local wines since their arrival. Lovely to see them again.
			3 June 2011 Concrete pump in position for the last bit of concreting on the site. A parking / turning space.
			3 June 2011 Rick pouring the concrete. Multi talented Rick and his lovely wife Sue have been the main helpers in finishing the building work and putting right the snags.
			3 June 2011 The pump is operated by portable radio controller.
			8 June 2011 Our very good friends Angela and Derrick (Delboy) visited us in June and we wasted no time putting them to work. Thank you guys for all your hard work. Moving rocks up the drive to edge the layer of stones.

			27 June 2011 Weeds are again smothering the ground cover. Peter and Gill are staying with us at present and have kindly offered to do some weeding.

			4 July 2011 The finished job, they did the whole bank. Brilliant, thank you guys. The Oleanders are growing well on the top of the bank as well.
			9 July 2011 Gills neice Sarah, husband Greg and daughter Mary popped in to see us. They are staying with Sarah's parents (Rita and Alan) in their new home in Polemi .

			August 2011 AJ (Anthony John Elsey - Nephew) visited for 10 days. He helped with pool cleaning (he has done the course) and many other tasks during his stay. Thanks AJ. Hope you enjoyed your holiday.

			August 2011 The Bougainvilleas are doing well.
			August 2011 We have two Sri Lankan girls helping us with garden work for a few hours each week. Here they have cleared the unplanted end of the bank from weeds. We are also installing sprinklers to keep the bank irrigated during the summer. Most of the garden now has irrigation. There are 5 separate circuits each controlled with a timer/programmer.
